Earners are members of the SSW Evaluation Lab team and can apply social work knowledge and research methodology to client-focused research. They have the advanced skills needed to leverage their research to inform practice while incorporating community practice knowledge to inform research. Earners can lead the development of a written deliverable for a client, including written policy recommendations or data/executive summary reports based on evidence gathered.

Earning Criteria

As a member of the VCU SSW Evaluation Lab team, author at least one (1) set of policy/practice recommendations, grounded in evidence, to address the partner’s needs OR serve as primary author for one client deliverable (e.g., data report or synthesis of the scientific literature).

Complete a professional presentation to the Evaluation Lab team summarizing findings/recommendations for at least 1 project.
