Earning Criteria

Badge earners have completed the 3-day Foundational wraparound training, an approved Cultural and Linguistic Competency training, and modules as determined by the NH Children's System of Care panel including: 1) the NH Special Education Process, 2) Evidence-based practices, 3) Early Childhood Mental Health, 4) Family Driven and Youth Guided Practice, 5) Futures Planning for Adolescents, 6) Positive Collaboration, 7) Culturally and Linguistically Competency Standards, 8) worker safety training.

Applicants have a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in human services or related field, and 1 or more years of professional experience and have undergone extensive orientation and training, worked with families for a period of 12-18 months, have been carefully mentored by UNH/IOD Wraparound coaches and their agency supervisors. Badge earners have demonstrated on the job competence with skills such as youth and family engagement, facilitating the 4 phases of wraparound.

Earners are certified in administering the Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths (CANS) assessment, including sharing and interpreting the results. May administer risk assessments

The applicant must submit all required documents to the NH Children's System of Care Certification Panel within 18 months of employment as a Wraparound Coordinator. These documents show that the applicant has successfully completed the required trainings, observations, and meetings with supervisor, including scored instruments indicating proficiency as a Wraparound Coordinator. The NH Children's System of Care Certification panel reviews the portfolio and awards the certificate.
