German Language Essentials
While living in a multi-cultural world, learning another language provides individuals with unique advantages. Most notably, improved language skills can help broaden an individual's career options, cultural awareness, and marketability. Completing this credentialed course will allow earners to demonstrate fundamental speaking, listening, and reading comprehension of the German language.

Complete GERM 1223 with a grade of C or better.

Earners will: demonstrate a novice to moderate level of proficiency in the four basic language skills: 1) Listening: Demonstrate listening ability at the novice-mid level as defined by American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) American National Proficiency Standards for the learning of foreign languages; 2) Reading: Demonstrate reading ability at the novice-mid level as defined by ACTFL.
