Bring the Be Equal learning journey to life by demonstrating any 2 of the following skills:

(1) Respect and Belonging: Cultivate an inclusive work environment through valuing other’s perspectives and treating others with dignity. Examples of demonstrative actions (but not limited to): address colleagues using their preferred pronouns, practice active listening during meetings, address disrespectful behavior in a timely manner, create a safe space where different perspectives are heard and appreciated, lead with inclusion when organizing team gatherings.

(2) Open-Minded: be receptive to new ideas, perspectives, and experiences, and challenging your own beliefs and assumptions. Examples of demonstrative actions (but not limited to): build new relationships to help broaden your perspectives and challenge your assumptions, approach cross-team collaboration with curiosity and empathy with the intent to deeply understand their point of view, start each meeting with a question to invite new ideas.

(3) Empathetic and Inclusive: strive to understand other perspectives and showing compassion for other’s experiences and feelings. Examples of demonstrative actions (but not limited to): visualize yourself in others’ shoes to develop compassion and make empathetic decisions, proactively provide support and resources to help a colleague overcome a challenge, encourage all team members to share their thoughts and opinions during collaboration.
