Periodontics and Implantology Fellowship (6 months)

Earners have enhanced knowledge of contemporary periodontics, oral implantology and research methodology. They have demonstrated their understanding of the scientific literature associated with Periodontal Diseases and Dental Implants as it applies to patient care. These fellows are able to assist with identification of research questions, development of protocols, collect and analyze data, and present findings.

Earning Criteria

Attend seminars and provide oral presentations regarding selected current and classic literature, treatment planning of clinic cases, as well as research methods.

Develop a manuscript draft, suitable for a 6 month course of study, for submission of publication.

Complete oral and written assessments demonstrating proficiency of the scientific literature as it applies to patient care.
