This course takes nine months to complete with students in the classroom once a month. The earner of this badge has completed a ten-session program that combines eighty classroom hours, mentorship and practical application. The earner must conduct a capstone project to apply their understanding of Lean from an operational and strategic level.

Earning Criteria

The student must participate in all 10 classes of the course. The student is required to work with a mentor of their choosing, during this course. The student will discuss and choose a capstone project with the instructor and mentor, which will be completed during and outside of the classroom portion of the course. The student will create the capstone which will be used to apply their understanding of Lean from an operational and strategic level.

The student must create and present a capstone presentation which is designed to highlight their knowledge of Lean. The student must be able to successfully showcase their Lean understanding at an operational and strategic level. Student will also be evaluated on their knowledge of how to empower employees, foster creativity, enhance customer satisfaction, implementation of increased efficiency for completing tasks, and reaching organizational goals.
