Earning Criteria
-
The student must have earned a Lean Yellow belt and participate in all 4 days of this in-person or virtual course. Students are required to view pre-recorded videos prior to the course and be prepared to discuss. The classroom portion is instructed by a trained facilitator, who ensures the students are engaging and participating within their teams and in discussions. Whether in-person or virtual, students are required to facilitate some portion of the Lean event their team is assigned.
-
The student must successfully lead the facilitation of a project team through all phases of a Yellow Belt Course (or outside Lean event with approval). A Lean Black Belt will mentor the student during each phase of the Lean event and evaluate student success. Success is based on the student’s ability to facilitate Lean project documentation, current landscape and recommended future state mapping, data analysis, implementation planning, and a sell presentation to the sponsor(s).
