Transmission Specialist

Participants will gain fundamental automotive knowledge regarding manual and automatic transmission/transaxle systems in order to diagnose and repair automotive transmissions to meet needs of automotive service customers. Students must successfully complete each course.

Earning Criteria

Complete AT 2204 ASE Manual Drive Trains - learners will apply specific competencies in general transmission and transaxle diagnosis. Additionally, learners will demonstrate competencies in transmission/transaxle maintenance, adjustment and in and off vehicle repair.
Complete AT 2214 ASE Automatic Transmissions/Transaxles - learners will apply specific competencies in general transmission and transaxle diagnosis. Additionally, learners will demonstrate competencies in transmission/transaxle maintenance, adjustment and in and off vehicle repair.
