Elementary French
With this badge, participants demonstrate the ability to communicate in French at an elementary to early intermediate level. They can understand and participate in everyday conversations, read and write short texts, and apply cultural awareness to interactions. Upon completion, participants have a foundation to engage in bilingual settings, continue advanced study, or contribute French skills in academic, workplace, or community contexts.

Demonstrate French proficiency through class assignments, exams, and conversational participation.

Complete three sequential FREN courses (FREN 1103, 1213, 2113) to develop listening, speaking, reading, and writing proficiency.

Complete FREN 1103 Elementary French I with a C or better, or an S (satisfactory; PLA).
