The micro-credential provides learners and job-seekers with core skills required for creating digital audio-visual media. Demand for these skills has become increasingly diversified in the new/digital media work environment and within the contemporary workforce. This micro-credential will provide earners the means to communicate their skills and utility to employers; who require workers with a broad-base of content creation skills; in an ever-advancing digital society.

Earning Criteria

  • JB 1103 Audio Production and Podcasting; this course emphasizes Podcasting, including its development, production, and distribution, an inquiry into theory field and studio production, and develops radio and digital imaging, interviewing, narration and production and direction skills; includes extensive laboratory experience, field recording and project development. Student must successfully complete course with a minimum grade of “D” or higher.
  • JB 2643 Digital Video Production; students will utilize digital visual production and post-production principles and techniques in multiple video formats to produce a diversity of industry-standard digital media. Students will incorporate the skills of writing, recording and editing to encompass all phases of the production process. Student must successfully complete course with a minimum grade of “D” or higher.
