NSITE partners with Powersim Solutions to offer coursework and provide a simulated business environment for the development of essential business skills. By taking a comprehensive view of the organization's operations, earners understand how decisions and actions impact the business as a whole and work effectively and collaboratively as team members. Earners have successfully developed and executed a business strategy, analyzed markets, competitors, customers, and performance.

Earning Criteria

Successful completion of two online courses - Finance and Budgeting Essentials and Improving Decision Making - that require online coursework, reading, watching videos, and taking a test.
Attended eight scheduled conference calls lasting approximately one hour. Calls included discussions of results and team decision-making activities. Facilitators also led discussions on selected topics pertaining to marketing, financial analysis, team decision-making, and leadership.
Pass assessment indicating successful completion of course work and achievement of learning outcomes. Assessment consists of a written test, successful implementation of strategy, presentations of simulation strategy, simulation performance outcomes, and team decision-making processes.

NSITE provides a customized Business Essentials Program as part of our Business Leaders Program (BLP) for individuals who are blind and low-vision to deepen their understanding of business processes and prepare them for career advancement. NSITE partners with Powersim Solutions for the business simulation component of the program.
