Earning Criteria

• Badge earners build adaptive communication skills through four “How to Talk” workshops—small talk, big talk, online talk, and in-person talk. With guided strategies and hands-on practice, they learn to navigate diverse communication situations and communicate confidently in the 21st-century workplace. Micro-credential earners must complete the following workshops: How to Have Small Talk, How to have BIG talk; How to have online talk; and, How to have in person talk
• Adapt communication styles to different people, situations, and technologies.
• Build confidence in initiating, sustaining, and deepening conversations.
• Practice critical listening to better understand others and respond thoughtfully.
• Strengthen in-person and digital communication skills through hands-on practice.
• Apply communication skills across contexts, connecting disciplines and everyday life.
