Program participants develop skills required for end-to-end Data Science, including the discovery and basics of data modeling, the hidden patterns and complex relationships of predictive models. Badge earners are considered experts in separating robust models that are ready for real-world deployment from those that are biased and/or underperform when challenged with new, future data. They can confidently build and deploy models that are impactful for solving real-world data science challenges.

Earning Criteria

Over the course of 6 weeks, complete 6 blended learning modules. These modules leverage fixed course content and instructor videos with instructor-led live sessions and applied projects. Together, they provide an overview of the process for developing and completing a data science project by determining which tools to use to solve analytic problems. The class takes a problem-based learning approach to the foundational concepts of data science.

Throughout the course, learners will complete a number of hands-on projects based on real-world data science problems, gaining confidence in navigating analytics tools and automating the end-to-end process of predictive modeling and model deployment. They are also required to complete one final project at course conclusion.
