The highest level of training, faculty earning this badge serve as mentors and lead simulation efforts across the department and schools. Earners orient and mentor new faculty to the full simulation cycle. They will also develop initial simulation scenarios to meet individual needs of clinical or course and follow up on implementation. Faculty have completed all items listed below and chose two (2) of the other items listed with a ** to complete.

Earning Criteria

Conduct simulation orientation with new faculty

Evaluate INASCL standards within the Madison College health simulation center and implements quality improvement practices.

Author a simulation scenario, lesson plan, and supporting activities for at least two simulation scenarios

**Mentor at least two other faculty members in the use of simulation

**Develop an interprofessional, student to student, health simulation scenario to include other Madison College programs. Examples include but are not limited to: EMS, Medical Assistant, Respiratory Therapy, Radiography, Medical Lab Technician, Surgical Technician, Medical Interpreter programs, etc.

**Obtain Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator® certification

**Present simulation related content at a conference

**Participate in a simulation organization at regional or national level

**Implement change related to simulation scenario, lesson plan, and/or activities using data collected from student feedback tool (SimIQ)
Standards
Facilitation methods are varied, and use of a specific method is dependent on the learning needs of the participants and the expected outcomes. A facilitator assumes responsibility and oversight for managing the entire simulation-based experience.
All simulation-based experiences include a planned debriefing session aimed at improving future performance.
