Earners have completed Level 1 training and submit evidence of additional lesson planning, simulation and evaluation experience. Evidence shows advanced skill and incorporation of the INACSL Standards of Best Practice. Faculty have completed all items listed below and chose two (2) of the other items listed with a ** to complete.

Earning Criteria

Organize and facilitate a minimum of eight simulations (theory/clinical/lab)

Become a superuser or champion in one of the following: EHR, DML, and/or scenario development

Demonstrate knowledge of INASCL Standards in conducting nursing simulation experiences

**Create simulation scenario, lesson plan, and supporting activities for at least two simulation scenarios

**Evaluate and provide feedback for at least two other faculty members regarding prebrief, debrief, and student EHR feedback

**Collaborate with health simulation scenario developers (Level 3) and other Madison College programs to facilitate at least one student to student interprofessional simulation experience. Examples include but are not limited to: EMS, Medical Assistant, Respiratory Therapy, Radiography, Medical Lab Technician, Surgical Technician, and Medical Interpreter programs, etc.

**Present simulation related content at a faculty meeting

**Participate in the Skills or Simulation (SoS) committee as a member

**Develop a Standardized Participant script for a simulation scenario

**Modify simulation scenario, lesson plan, and/or activities using data collected from student feedback tool (SimIQ)
Standards
Facilitation methods are varied, and use of a specific method is dependent on the learning needs of the participants and the expected outcomes. A facilitator assumes responsibility and oversight for managing the entire simulation-based experience.
All simulation-based experiences include a planned debriefing session aimed at improving future performance.
