They have demonstrated effective planning, communication, and mobilisation of people through leadership of service activities, inspiring and empowering others to realise their own potential.

Earning Criteria

Attend a planning session to discuss an identified opportunity in the community. Discuss the desired outcomes and ideate a solution.

Initiate a school endorsed community service activity, and take on the leadership of a group of students who will complete the community service project over an extended period of time.

Present to students and teachers about their community service project, demonstrating the elements of the project and the benefits for the recipients of the activity.

Appropriately document the project and provide evidence of the impact the activity had on self, participants and recipients of the service. Complete a self-reflection activity to critically examine what has been learned and achieved through the process.

Act as a mentor for one or more students who are working towards achievement of the Community Service Level 3 badge.
