Critical Thinking and Problem Solving (DFN, DFNv)
This course objective is to provide a structured approach for tackling problems, opportunities, and decisions that will ultimately help you get better results whether you are innovating, managing crises, or planning for the future. The course addresses the five types of critical thinking needed in business environments: strategic thinking, tactical thinking, analytical thinking, innovative thinking, and implicative thinking.

Earning Criteria

The methods of assessment include action plans with a minimum passing score of 70 percent.

The methods of instruction include audiovisual materials, practical exercises, lecture, discussion, and classroom exercises. The general course topics include the critical thinking model; problem/opportunity identification and analysis; environmental scan; response exploration; response selection; response implementation; and putting it to work.
