Earning Criteria

Attendance: IBM Accelerate participants may miss no more than a total of 1 track session and 1 foundational skills session over the course of the program.

Participation: Demonstrate engagement with the course material and ongoing skill progression through active participation in weekly sessions. Participation can be reflected in weekly quizzes or polls, commenting or asking questions during discussions, collaborating with peers in small group sessions, or taking advantage of optional networking opportunities.

Assessment: Badge earners must participate in, and complete the requirements of the final assessment, demonstrating an understanding of curriculum concepts and designing with intent. A score of 80% of higher is required.

Course Content: In addition to strengthening participants' existing foundational and academic knowledge, the IBM Accelerate - Design track will cover various topics, which may include but are not limited to redefining design, design intent and outcomes, UX design, visual design, design research, new technologies, and more.
