Students engage in a range of activities to deepen their personal awareness and build career readiness and to navigate the world of study and work, post secondary school. The focus of this program is job application, resume writing, interview preparation and participation.

CREATE COVER LETTER & RESUME – students will draft these documents and participate in a personalised review of their cover letter and resume with a College Careers Practitioner. Following the initial meeting, feedback and suggested improvements will be provided and students can make changes to their cover letter and resume.

PROFESSIONAL INTERVIEW- Students will undertake preparation activities and will plan for an sit a professional interview with school staff. Following the interview, feedback and suggested improvements will be provided and students can make changes for their future interviews.

This course is designed to guide students in beginning to explore the world of work and to learn about the process of applying for jobs. Students participate in formal online program to build a careers profile and explore potential jobs. They will learn: a how to develop a traditional CV; how to craft and write a cover letter suitable for the role they are applying for; about the interview process.
