The Bridge 20-hour Specialized Certificate in Guided Teaching Practicum is a blended TEFL/TESOL certificate program. Earners of this badge are able to analyze the concepts found in reading and view materials, apply these concepts to their teaching, draw inferences in their writing and task completion regarding best practices in Teaching English; and produce a guided teaching reflective portfolio through the completion of tasks which reflect concepts described in the online class materials.

Earning Criteria

Complete the full course program designed to provide the participant with a series of observation and teaching tasks in teaching English to non-native English speakers, with mentor observation, in order to develop a philosophy of reflective practice as an educator. Earners must complete a total of 14 reflective tasks and receive an accumulative score of 70% or higher on these tasks.

Complete 5-hours of classroom observations, 5-hours of hands-on teaching practice, and 10-hours on online course material.
