Earning Criteria

Badge earners have earned a B or higher in Bradley University's COM 204, Audio Production. This course, a requirement for Television Arts and Music Entertainment Industry majors, immerses students in the study of and practice in the operation of basic audio production equipment, production techniques, and production criticism. Students complete and present various projects across multiple styles and genres of audio-only production; peers offer constructive criticism of their work.

Badge earners have earned a B or higher in Bradley University's COM 314, Intro to Video: Studio Production. The course focuses on television production techniques, theories, and fundamental skills as applied to studio production. Students are assessed on a 5-minute interview and an 8-minute newscast for which they serve as director/producer and crew member for peers' productions.

Badge earners have earned a B or higher in Bradley University's COM 335, Intro to Video: Field Production. Students are immersed in field video production techniques and use post-production editing facilities for a variety of assignments in news, feature, and television commercial production. Students are assessed on three projects that represent several common types of production and visual storytelling styles: a news package, an instructional video, and a music video.
