A Phlebotomy Technician can work in a hospital, clinics, acute care facilities as well as doctor’s offices. The earners of this badge can perform venipunctures, perform capillary draws, transporting specimens to the laboratory, professionally interact with patients, treat patients with empathy and compassion, and respect a patients’ rights. The National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) granted AMCA accreditation on the PTC in August, 2016.
