Certified Public Manager (CPM) Designation
The earner completed Alabama's Certified Public Manager (CPM) Program facilitated by Auburn University at Montgomery. The CPM Program is a comprehensive training program that develops and strengthens the leadership and management skills of public sector managers through experiential learning using course material, individual and team projects, and developmental exercises. The CPM program is conducted in two segments: CPM I (Associate Level Certification) followed by CPM II (Full Certification).

Standards
The earner demonstrated the following competencies established by the National Consortium of Certified Public Managers: Managing Work, Leading People, Personal and Organizational Integrity, Developing People, Change Leadership, Systemic Integration, and Public Service Leadership.
The earner qualifies for membership in the Alabama Society of Certified Public Managers (ASCPM), where they may benefit from networking opportunities and continuing education, while qualifying for leadership roles in the local society.
The CPM designation is equivalent to six graduate electives in Auburn University at Montgomery's (AUM's) Master of Public Administration program. AUM's MPA Program prepares students for management positions in the nonprofit sector and various administrative and management opportunities in local, state, or national government.
