Welcome to the Wyndham Tech School STEM Educator microcredential! The purpose of this program of integrated professional development is to equip practicing teachers with the essential skills and knowledge required for teaching STEM in the context of Australian secondary schools. Learning is anchored around three distinct themes: "Solving Real World Problems", "Innovating with Diverse Methodologies", and "Using Digital Tools and Technologies".

Earning Criteria

To be eligible to enroll, a practicing teacher will be engaged in an embedded program of learning with their class at Wyndham Tech School for a minimum of at least two school terms. Embedded programs are available to secondary schools in the Wyndham and Hobson's Bay local government areas in western Melbourne, Australia.
Completion of the microcredential requires the completion of a digital portfolio consisting of active lesson observations, reflection activities, and unit planning exercises in which learning is applied to the teacher's own professional practice.
To be eligible for the microcredential badge, the learner must earn 7 skill-specific badges relevant to programs from the following categories: "Digital tools and technologies" (3 badges), "Solving real world problems" (2 badges), and "Innovating with diverse methodologies" (2 badges).
