They are able to describe the physical characteristics in terms of radio channels, physical channels and logical channels including procedures such as measurements an frequency hopping. Additionally holders can describe the Layer 2 protocol and Layer 3 messages. Holders will also be able to describe the signalling sequences between a mobile device and network for both circuit switched connections and GPRS.
