The Emerging Leaders Program is designed to develop Directors and Sr. Directors with the desire and potential to reach Vice President level and beyond. The program has three main objectives: Developing self awareness, developing a broad understanding of Workiva’s operations, and developing advanced leadership skills.

Earning Criteria

Problem-Solving Process & Practice: The emerging leaders will learn a process for soliciting and synthesizing advice from their peers and applying it to solve problems at work.

1:1 Coaching: Each participant will be assigned a leadership coach and will receive six 1:1 coaching sessions.

Mentorship: A trusted network of advisors is a must for all leaders. Each participant will develop a relationship with at least one mentor.

Meaningful Work Experience: Each participant will work with their manager to identify a “meaningful work experience” outside of their day-to-day duties, which will require them to grow their skillset, and that will provide Workiva with real value.
