Earners have a basic understanding of how to create a personal budget, can monitor their credit score, and can identify various types of bank accounts and financial institutions. Earners demonstrate the ability to ask and answer questions about locations, hours, and cost of services of financial institutions in the community. Earners can conduct conversations with bank employees.

Earning Criteria

Students are assessed by a CASAS certified examiner and must achieve a passing score of 70% to complete this civic objective. Assessment may be written or oral and may include a role play of scenarios specific to identifying, evaluating, and/or comparing financial service options in the community.
