Earners have competencies relevant for coaching in VCU's MD program. Rooted in appreciative inquiry, they support students in professional identity formation goals such as, developing the relationship, understanding educational principles, employing different coaching tools tailored to needs, and fostering an inclusive coaching environment conducive to student engagement, self-reflection, and goal-setting. Earners are competent in supporting academic success, holistic development and well-being.

Earning Criteria

Must be a current Academic Coach in the MD Program.

Must complete five distinct faculty development workshops and an Individualized coaching plan and meet the goal therein.

Must complete observed coaching session with feedback.
