Earners can articulate multiple ways that artificial intelligence (AI) might be used by both instructors and learners in the context of higher education in humanities and sciences. They can reflect on and communicate some of the benefits and drawbacks of those possible uses of AI in education. Earners can make, refine, and communicate plans about the appropriate role of AI in particular courses.

Earning Criteria

Attend three (3) approved professional development events related to AI and its use in the classroom. The VCU College of Humanities and Sciences itself offers a variety of professional development opportunities around AI to faculty. Other AI-related training opportunities offered to VCU faculty by other units such as CTLE, the library, or by AI Ready RVA (which partners with VCU) will also be approved.
