Earning Criteria

  • Passed “Chapter Governance Assessment.” Critical for ensuring the development of sound governance practices, the learner had to analyze their organization against a series of factors. These included, accountability, risk management, fairness, transparency and responsibility. The learner then had to develop a SMART goal to improve the level of governance within the Chapter.
  • Passed “Protecting the Chapter.” Following attendance at General Assembly, the learner had to reflect on what they learned, and what they need to action within their Chapters.
  • Completed "Essentials in Governance." In addition to attending General Assembly (two-day conference focused on instituting effective governance practices) the learner completed 20 learning assets. Core topics included: Purpose of Governance; Lambda Chi's Governance Model; Non Profit v For-Profit Governance; General Assembly – Role and Structure; Governance Red Flags; Engaging with Purpose and Building your Argument.
