Introduction to LGV Theory Test

This course is ideal for anyone who wants to start out on the road to becoming a large goods vehicle (LGV) driver. This course uses the official DVSA question banks and hazard perception testing clips to make this as close to the real-world tests as it’s possible to get.

Demonstrate knowledge of different LGV licences
Understand legislation changes
Demonstrate an understanding of application requirements
Identify medical needs and exemptions
Demonstrate an understanding of the driving hours of an LGV driver
Identify potential hours of driving whilst tired
Identify active and potential hazards in different situations
Explain why a tachograph is needed
Demonstrate an understanding of different symbols
Demonstrate an understanding of vehicle checks
Identify the parts of the vehicle that needs to be included in checks
Understand the hazards of high wind conditions
Demonstrate knowledge of driving in adverse conditions
Identify the rules of motorway driving
Demonstrate knowledge of vehicle weights
Identify signage related to the carriage of hazardous materials
Students have been assessed and have achieved in excess of 80% to gain the accreditation
