Earners demonstrate understanding of traditional, agile, and hybrid project management frameworks and practices. They understand roles and responsibilities of project managers, business analysts, project sponsors, project teams, process managers, and operations risk managers. Earners can describe project management domains including: stakeholder engagement, communications and risk management, scheduling, and resource management. They can evaluate options for selecting the project approach.

Earning Criteria

Earners of the badge have completed the Project Management Academy, an 8-session, synchronous online course taught by the UVA School of Continuing and Professional Studies. They have completed 24 hours of direct instruction, in addition to outside pre-work and projects.
Earners engage with, complete, and present an industry-specific case study to apply their learning.
