Equips learners to improve health systems by integrating evidence-based policy, performance measurement, and stakeholder-driven design, culminating in a real-world capstone that applies these principles to advance public health goals. Topics included informatics policies, transforming healthcare with technology, performance metrics, stakeholder analysis, case study analysis/capstone—Expanding a trauma System Using a Needs-Based Approach.

Earning Criteria

  • 20-question quiz after every module (4 quizzes total)
  • Activities in HIPAA discussion, 21st Century Cures Act, Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act, Metrics and Measurement. There is also a case study analysis/capstone- Expanding a Trauma System Using a Needs-Based Approach
  • Each module consists of six hours: an interactive lecture (1-2 hours), readings (1 hour), skills-based exercises (1-2 hours), case study analysis (1 hour), a reflection prompt (0.5 hour), and a module quiz (0.5 hour).
