Current Trends in Computer Science and Information

The course objective is to help students understand IT leadership and develop strategies for using information systems. They will design databases, apply software development practices, and use data science techniques for analytics. Students will assess the ethical and social impacts of emerging technologies, apply AI and Machine Learning to solve problems, and evaluate blockchain security to manage technology solutions for business challenges.

Standards
In the lower division baccalaureate/associate degree category, 3 semester hours in MIS, Informatics, or Information Science.
