The earner of this badge has designed and presented a unique poster at one of two annual Graduate School Appreciation Week Research Symposiums. The earner is able to design a well-thought out poster that explains complex research using text, figures, and design elements and demonstrate best practices in research poster design and visual communication. The earner has also learned how to pitch their work to poster viewers and how to engage peers and judges in conversation about complex research.

Earning Criteria

Design and present a poster at the Graduate Student Appreciation Week or Postdoc Appreciate Week Research Symposium sponsored by The UTSA Graduate School. The students' oral presentation accompanying the poster shows a valid; well thought out and delivered oral argument to support their scholarly work.
