Achievement in Pedagogy

Issued by University of Pittsburgh

In this Graduate Student Teaching Initiative program, participants attend six or more teaching workshops within three concentrations (Pedagogy, Professional Development, Educational Technology, Online Teaching, Diversity/Equity/Inclusion), and submit corresponding assignments meeting best practices criteria, as determined by University Center for Teaching and Learning staff. The final requirement is a capstone essay, describing the impact of the program on participants' teaching.

Earning Criteria

Competencies associated with each workshop within the program are evaluated according to a 5-point rubric, with criteria varying by each assignment. A document summarizing the specific competencies met by the awardee is attached.
