Our Educator-Scholar badge series is designed to celebrate earners' commitments to career growth in the areas of teaching, instructional design, and educational scholarship. To earn these badges, you must prioritize your development as an educator and academic scholar by spending significant time and effort on faculty development activities as described below. Earning Criteria

Complete TWO items from A-D: (A) Attend 5 or more OLI faculty development workshops or sessions. (B) Complete 1 or more teaching, learning, or academic-focused book study (includes OLI book studies and/or book studies offered by UND main campus or professional organizations). (C) Attend 1 or more faculty development workshops from the Teaching, Transformation, and Development Academy (TTaDa). (D) Attend a workshop/book study elsewhere (eligibility determined by OLI).

Choose the Teaching Track and complete the following: (A) Attend a OLI Syllabus Review. (B) Attend an OLI Teaching Tune-Up. (C) Earn a Media Recording Studio badge (single tool use training). (D) Implement a teaching modification after OLI consult. (E) Complete analysis of teaching modification. (F) Create a follow-up plan for modification/scholarship.

OR, choose the Research Track and complete the following: (G) Attend a research consult with OLI faculty/staff. (H) Attend a research consult with embedded Library Resources librarian. (I) Generate a literature review. (J) Implement research. (K) Collect data. (L) Consult with a statistician. (M) Present research at conference OR submit an article to a refereed journal.

Requirements listed are not cumulative across badge levels! Activities should be unique to each badge earned. For example, the 5 workshops attended to meet the requirement of the Level 1 badge cannot be used as evidence in support of the Level 2 badge.
