Our Educator-Scholar badge series is designed to celebrate earners' commitments to career growth in the areas of teaching, instructional design, and educational scholarship. To earn these badges, you must prioritize your development as an educator and academic scholar by spending significant time and effort on faculty development activities as described below. Earning Criteria

Complete a OLI Teaching Academy Cohort to earn this badge automatically. (The Teaching Academy is offered on an annual basis; watch your email for application announcements.)

Complete TWO items from A-D: (A) Attend 5 or more OLI faculty development workshops or sessions. (B) Complete 1 or more teaching, learning, or academic-focused book study (includes OLI book studies and/or book studies offered by UND main campus or professional organizations). (C) Attend 1 or more faculty development workshops from the Teaching, Transformation, and Development Academy (TTaDa). (D) Attend a workshop/book study elsewhere (eligibility determined by OLI).

Choose the Teaching Track and complete the following: (A) Schedule a teaching consult with a OLI instructional designer. (B) Attend a Media Recording Studio consult/tour. (C) Submit a teaching modification plan for review.

OR, choose the Research Track and complete the following: (D) Research consult with OLI personnel (E) Research consult with embedded Librarian (F) Submit research design plan for review.

Earn distinction by completing all items in both tracks (teaching and research) above!
