Earners of this badge have met all the requirements of a RENEW Facilitator as outlined in the earning criteria. Learners understand how to engage youth with emotional behavioral challenges and other mental health concerns, facilitate through mapping, develop individualized teams and resources, direct the RENEW team process, conduct school-to-career planning, and empower youth to lead the process.

Earning Criteria

Earners of this badge will have attended and completed the 3 day RENEW Facilitator Training Institute and show evidence by a certificate of attendance upon completion of this training. They will have enrolled in the RENEW Facilitators Learning Portal and remain current on all RENEW materials by being active on RENEW Facilitators Learning Portal in Canvas and participate in ongoing professional development.
Earners of this badge will have documented evidence of implementing RENEW with at least 3 youth within their school or organization (validated through maps and RENEW data tracking system.), In addition, they will have engaged in at least 6 hrs of supervision or coaching in RENEW as documented by the RENEW Facilitator Tracker.
Earners of this badge will demonstrate competency in the RENEW model by reaching a fidelity score of 80% or higher in domains 1–3 on the RENEW Integrity Tool (RIT). A RENEW Coach/ Trainer will complete the RIT with the Facilitator, including observations of a mapping session and team meeting. The RIT will indicate that the Facilitator has implemented RENEW at least up to transition.
