Earning Criteria

The NH Advanced Master Roads Scholar has completed 200 contact hours in a specific subject area to ensure that training covers a range of subjects essential to local road management.

Along with earning the minimum 200 NH Road Scholar Hours, Advanced Master Roads Scholars develop an individual project that creates opportunity for them to participate in, and help improve the public works community. Approved projects may include instruction, innovation, or any other number of projects that encourages the individual to make a meaningful connection between their educational experience and public works, and to further the public works field.
Standards
Each level has a defined number of contact hours. A contact hour is an hour of actual instruction. Therefore, a typical one day workshop includes 5 hours of instruction, and a specific subject area to ensure that training covers a range of subjects essential to local road management.
