IEHSS Team Coaching Program

Earners have successfully completed a least 5 training sessions blending the art of science of team coaching, improvement science including measurement, effective communication and team building knowledge and skills. Sessions provide the overview and the individual components of the 3 phases of "The Team Coaching Model” to learn fundamentals in applied clinical microsystem theory and practice and a structured organized process for coaching interprofessional teams working to improve healthcare.

Earning Criteria

The Institute for Excellence in Health & Social Systems (IEHSS) Team Coaching Program consists of at least five mandatory sessions and one optional session. Session two is a four-day in-person session.

Participants submit and present three progress reports during the course of the program and receive feedback from faculty and course participants. The reports include updates about their team's improvement work as well as their own development as a team coach.

Participants submit final deliverables that include reports about the status of their improvement team, how they will transition from the team, a team coaching experience reflection and an individualized coaching plan for personal and professional development as a team coach.
