This course is offered by UNH's Carsey School & the Inclusiv Center for Resiliency and Clean Energy. The earner has completed a 9-week course for community-based lending institutions and is able to apply the following topics to their institution: solar photovoltaic technology, opportunities for commercial solar development, evaluating/partnering with project developers, the solar project capital stack, pro forma projections/structuring, debt products, underwriting, community solar, and more.

This 9-week program requires 5-6 hours of weekly class time. Students attend a 90-minute live virtual class for each of the 9 weeks. Live classes consist of teacher lecture, guest speakers, small discussion groups, and full class discussion. Other weekly coursework required includes viewing weekly materials, taking online quizzes, and completing written discussion forums and class assignments, including a series of solar project financing case studies.

A students’ grade is Pass/Fail. Course completion is dependent on successful attendance in virtual classes and satisfactory completion of weekly assignments and case studies.
