Student currently works as a para-professional in behavioral healthcare. Student submits and is accepting in the program based on a reviewed essay indicating an interest in specializing in supporting children, youth and caregivers impacted by substance use disorders.

Student consistently engages in 8-week asynchronous online course activities. These activities include course readings and pre-recorded lectures, participation in online discussions boards, submission of reflection papers, and authoring a paper identifying risk and protective factors to a case study.

Earning this badge requires a passing grade of C- (70%) in this course. Grade breakdown: 20% is weekly viewing of pre-recorded lectures, 30% is discussion board comments and posts, 25% is 2-3 page paper connecting course material to students current work, and 25% is a case study paper.
