Earning Criteria

  • Competencies: (1) Demonstrates awareness and inclusivity towards diverse cultures, backgrounds, and identities. (2) Applies equity principles effectively, engaging individuals from various backgrounds. (3) Actively opposes racism, challenging discriminatory systems and policies. (4) Advocates for inclusion, equity, justice, and empowerment for marginalized communities, effecting both individual and systemic change.
  • Competency is assessed by earner's supervisor. Earners have achieved proficiency in at least 3 out of 4 related career readiness categories. The earner provided two written reflections to their supervisor demonstrating the above competencies.
  • Earning this badge required 75 hours employment as a student worker. The learner engaged in related professional development.
