Earners of a Data-informed Decisions micro-credential register to take three courses to build their data analytic skills, including the ability to analyze datasets with statistical software (e.g., SPSS, JASP, R) and the ability to make applicable decisions or conclusions based on real data. Some students may also engage in projects that allow them to become better acquainted with the research process, for example by proposing or conducting a study. Earning Criteria

Successfully pass two pre-determined required courses and a third course to be selected from a menu of “optional” courses. The course requirement(s) can be completed at any time, and previously completed courses count. Note that all three courses must be credit-bearing undergraduate courses taken at the University of Denver.

Work with a faculty sponsor to complete an experiential project lasting one quarter. The experiential project will be tailored to you, your interests, and your faculty sponsor's ability to support you on it.

Develop an online portfolio that integrates what you learned in your coursework with what you did for your experiential project. This portfolio should be public facing (e.g., so you can link it on your resume or CV).

Communicate your expertise in the annual "Portfolio Showcase" and in mock interviews.
