Through in-person and virtual sustained dialogic practice, asynchronous activities, and readings, participants will learn about critically-grounded dialogue, with emphasis on designing and facilitating dialogic practices that center intersectional equity in classroom practices.

Earning Criteria

Attend 10 synchronous, 90 minute workshops where participants actively engage in critical dialogic practices, collaborate in small group activities with peers, design and offer feedback for student-focused activities, and implement reflective sharing. Review and engage with online learning materials (e.g., readings, videos, questions, etc.) prior to workshop sessions and complete weekly assignments.

Complete a Critical Dialogic Pedagogy Learning Portfolio, which include items such as, a Teaching Statement, Syllabus and Curricular Revisions, Dialogue Commitments, Positionality Statement, Re-Designed Lesson and Activity Plan, and Written Critical/Analytic Self-Reflections of Personal Growth

Develop and co-facilitate a “Dialogues Mixer” for the campus community focusing on engaging in critical dialogic practices
