Earning Criteria

The Semiconductor Manufacturing Fast Track badge is earned by completing 20-25 hours of academic and project work over 5-weeks. Learning includes meeting with industry experts about semiconductor manufacturing and having an opportunity to ask questions. Completing approximately 10 hours of academic content focused on the semiconductor ecosystem value chain including topics such as R&D, design tools, chip design, materials, equipment, fabrication, packaging and distribution.

Recipients collaborate on an industry-focused team project that addresses a real-world issue in the semiconductor manufacturing industry, applying concepts from the learning modules. They present their final team project to employer sponsors and the University of Arizona College of Engineering and receive feedback and mentoring from campus and industry partners. They engage with industry partners in the semiconductor manufacturing field for the purpose of mentorship and career readiness.
