Recipients learn why hydrogen energy is important and workforce needs in this growing field. Recipients complete learning modules focused on hydrogen energy, production, and uses, moving and storing hydrogen, and economic and environmental issues related to hydrogen. A team project to demonstrate understanding of the content and real-world application.

Earning Criteria

The Hydrogen Energy Fast Track badge is earned by completing 20-hours of online learning over 5-6 weeks. Learning includes the following: 1. Meet with experts from SRP and EPRI to learn more about hydrogen energy and have an opportunity to ask questions. 2. Complete five 60–90-minute learning modules that focus on the role of hydrogen energy in a clean energy future.

Recipients engage with industry partners EPRI and SRP for the purpose of mentorship and career readiness. 1. Work on a team project created by SRP that addresses a real-world issue around hydrogen energy, demonstrating understanding of introductory concepts. 2. Present their final team project to representatives from EPRI, SRP and the College of Engineering and receive feedback and mentoring from campus and industry partners.
