The Pinnacle Badge

The Pinnacle Badge is designed to recognize earners for outstanding achievement across disciplines and represents a broad array of hard and soft skills attained during the course of their education. While primarily designed for earners who have finished a significant amount of their program, it is also designed for those outstanding students who performed consistently high resume-worthy achievements within a single class who are not necessarily degree-seeking students. Earning Criteria

The earner has demonstrated a consistently high level of performance throughout their program of study or individual courses, as measured through learning outcomes and applicable rubrics that are relevant to the industry the course/program serves (Except in rare circumstances, such as ABUS F199 Applied Business Practicum or equivalent, individual courses should be at the 200 level or higher).

The earner has been, at a minimum, timely in the submission of all work, and the work represents extraordinary quality that stands out among their peers in the course or the program.

The earner has submitted an outstanding artifact that demonstrates an extraordinary level of achievement. The criteria for an extraordinary level of achievement should be established through written criteria such as a rubric and tied to course/program learning outcomes.

Except in extenuating circumstances as deemed by the program, the earner must have earned an "A" in an individual course, with all course requirements having a minimum grade of a "B," and/or they must hold a minimum GPA of 3.0. (GPA Applicable to Degree Seeking Students Only)

Earner will present some form of evidence of service. This can be demonstrated through volunteerism, community engagement, student organizations, or some other form of service deemed appropriate by the individual program.
Standards
Validation: represents demonstrated skill in a high-stakes environment. Earning Criteria: Statement of learning and types of assessment that includes a cut score, a third-party examination and is linked to an artifact of learning.
