Alaska Interior Business Accelerator

The Alaska Interior Business Accelerator (AIBA) validates skills and knowledge for existing small businesses and aspiring entrepreneurs through a series of presentations, networking opportunities, and applied exercises. Selected participants will learn how to build a successful business model, perform market research, identify customer segments, and financing for a business. In addition, participants will have mentorship opportunities from industry experts.

Earning Criteria

10 competitively selected participants attended eight 2 - hour weekly sessions. During which, there were lectures on various aspects of business, engaging and relevant business exercises, creation of a business model canvas. In addition, participants developed and delivered a business "pitch" to fellow participants and contributors with the Alaska Interior Business Accelerator. From this event, a select few participants were invited to pitch at the weekly Fairbanks Chamber of Commerce lunch.
